Luis Figo, by all accounts, has had a bad season at Real. Barring a couple of decent performances, he hasn't really come close to justifying his price tag. There's every chance Beckham would be able to force him out of the team if he moved to Madrid.
As for the idea that he should go because Real Madrid have so many world class players, well so do United! You can't deny that a team full of regular internationals, currently the champions of England, and who consistently progress to the last eight or so in Europe are a world class team.

I'd say Beckham is BETTER than Figo. Figo is a good dribbler with the ball, but Beckham will provide you with dangerous crosses and free-kicks.

haha, they drew 0-0 with Recreativo Huelva!!!
Maybe if they introduce a rule in football which says you can bring a player off the bench to take set pieces maybe they'd sign him but paying a reported £38 million is stupid especially when there are players who can do a far better job at that as well including Zidane and Figo. And this is coming from a United fan.
Which is really good.
1. Deportivo
2. Real Sociedad
3. Real Madrid
*Happy*
He'll end up playing crap for England, just like Macmanaman.
