I never had to phone them. Although, some people get problems with it..
It's never a good sign when an ISP has a rather active website devoted to its flaws.

Why don't you just phone them and find out? Clearly no-one here knows for certain.

That sounds pretty similar to what I had. NTL don't make it easy - I switched to them to get away from BT after having a really bad experience with them, and was blowing up to £100 a month on ISP bills. I'm still not sure whether I could have signed up with NTLWorld and got unmetered dialup despite multiple attempts at trying to find out.
I hate ISPs :O/ I may be looking to switch to freeola in the summer so get your act together if it's not already there!

I use CuteFTP for it.
Uploading the files are fairly easy. When you sign up with NTL, you get a password and username with it. I typed that password and username and something else like upload.ntlworld.com to actually start uploading them.
But I've never used anything other than CuteFTP or WS_ftp.. So it might be a little different..
