How do I make a website off ntl? I don't have a clue. Where do I start? All I want to do is put pictures on it, that's it.

I never had to phone them. Although, some people get problems with it..

http://www.nthellworld.com

It's never a good sign when an ISP has a rather active website devoted to its flaws.

I don't think you're meant to have to phone them, but lots of people do.

Why don't you just phone them and find out? Clearly no-one here knows for certain.

That sounds pretty similar to what I had. NTL don't make it easy - I switched to them to get away from BT after having a really bad experience with them, and was blowing up to £100 a month on ISP bills. I'm still not sure whether I could have signed up with NTLWorld and got unmetered dialup despite multiple attempts at trying to find out.

I hate ISPs :O/ I may be looking to switch to freeola in the summer so get your act together if it's not already there!

When I switched from Dial-up to Broadband I had to ring up NTL to make them activate mine.

I'd had webspace sat there for about 2-3 years, unactivated.

The hardest part is not uploading the pictures, but setting up the ftp account in the first place! NTL seem to delight it making it difficult - have a look through your connection pack to see if there's anything there that hints at website details.

How do you do what then? Set up the connection or upload the pics?

I use CuteFTP for it.

Uploading the files are fairly easy. When you sign up with NTL, you get a password and username with it. I typed that password and username and something else like upload.ntlworld.com to actually start uploading them.

But I've never used anything other than CuteFTP or WS_ftp.. So it might be a little different..
