Take the SNES for example, it was the defining console of it's time, it had some of the greatest ever games brought out on it. Cannon Fodder anyone? What about Super Mario World?
But now these revolutionary games are being cast aside and labelled 'Old'. What people have to remember is that without these games and consoles we wouldn't have todays systems. We wouldn't have the N64 without the SNES, we wouldn't have the SNES without the NES, we wouldn't have the....... I can go on and on.
Imagine Nintendo without Mario as it's mascot. We wouldn't have some of the greatest games ever made.
On March The 7th 1997, games developers where taking a stroll into the unknown with the N64 with huge success worldwide. The same goes for the PlayStation in errr 1995?
Even now the first N64 games that were brought out like Mario Kart, Mario 64 and Pilot Wings are being cast aside and being rapidly forgotten. At the times these were hailed as the most amazing thing ever seen but with the advancement in game engines and developing techniques they are being labelled as 'Old and crap'
Just remember that the older games are the ones to thank for todays games.

The SNES was a genuis piece of gaming hardware which could be seen as the best console ever, and will be hard to challenge for that title.
Every console which has been entered into the industry is a work of art, even if it was only good for one reason, they all helped gaming to evolve into what it is today, Brillance.
