Cheap. Really really important word. Cheap. Not top of the range, not super uber digital output with built in Mac OS.

I want a poxy video camera that I can use for animation... so I'd want to be able to use it for creating frames with clicks, then...

And really that's all I want. Digital would be nice.

Any ideas? Help? :0)

Almost all standard digital cameras let you take small video clips, which sounds to me like it's what you're after.

In which case, eBay has about a gazillion of them...
