Hey guys.

Where do I start? Well...supposed I had a typed out link, lets say link A. How do I make it so that it is still a link yet when someone puts their cursor over it, an image appers on my page where I want it to appear? If you could help me I'd much appreciate it. And forgive my newbish ways, as I suck at building sites.

Expect more of these types of posts.

Cheers,
DW

Nah, it's just a copy and paste job. If you use MSN or IRC i don't mind guiding you through it on there.

I'm generally on #[UKTAF] on Q-net IRC, and I'll tell you my msn only if you're interested. Don't know what sort of wierdos might start adding me to their lists if I stick it on a public forum :S Can always boot people from IRC :D

Er, come to think of it, that should probably be contained in a
tag, and i've just noticed you wanted it linked too:

Edit:

You could use a mixture of CSS and JavaScript to do it.
You have your images there, just set to visibility:hidden, and use CSS to position it, just it is invisible to the user.
The basic principle is that when you MouseOver the text, it runs a JS function which then gets the ID of the image and changes the style to become visible.

Your HTML should read something like:
(text)
Show the picture.

(Image)

The CSS should read something like:

#hiddenlink{
position:absolute;
visiblity:hidden;
left:XX; // Replace with number, of pixels that should separate the image from the left side
top:YY; // Number of pixels that should separate image from the top.
}

// JS Code to Display Image
function showImage(imageName){
if (document.getElementById){
document.getElementById(imageName).style.visibility = "visible";
}
else{
document[imageName].visibility = "visible";
}
}
// End Function

Code might not be right, but as Judge Dredd said: The Theorie's Sound

Might be way overcomplicated too, but that's how I'd do it.

I think what you're referring to is a cross-over image
I did this in class not long ago but can't remember exactly what to do :(
Someone else here know?
I think you go to insert, then image
Thats about all i can remember
Sorry but easter holidays are for not remembering education ;)

Change that. How do I make it so that the original text ISN'T a link but when the cursor is moved over it, some images appear below it that are links.

Bah. Something like that anyway.
