Heidfeld at the right place at the right time
Nick Heidfeld found himself in the right place at the right time and took pole position, the second of his career. The track was wet and was drying slowly so the last car would get pole. Heidfeld was the last man.
The Championship challengers are, in the majority, in the top ten. Current Championship leader, Trulli, took pole briefly but had to settle for 8th. Raikkonen will be looking to close the gap on Trulli in the title race with 5th on the grid.
Heidfeld was quickest but may not necessarily have the fastest car. Coulthard will be looking to build a strong challenge from 2nd. B.A.R will want to turn a dismal start round with Villeneuve in 3rd and Button in 6th. Wilson continues his strong qualifying with 4th. Raikkonen is ahead of Trulli in 5th. Fisichella and Trulli are 7th and 8th respectively.
