Just picked up me PS2 with ISS, SSX and Tekken Tag. The first thing I noticed is that the CD drive is a little noisy isn't it?

My console appears to be working fine, but I noticed the drive was a little noisy. Is anyone else's like this?

NZP - I haven't heard either of them. Are you on any music forums? We're getting a bit off topic here.

Maybe it's an undocumented feature of NHL 2001? You sit on the PS2, and get vibrations every time your player gets whacked on the shins? :-)

(PS. Don't try this at home kids)

Hehe..:) They could've taken that approach or they may have used song titles as a metaphor and built the song lyrically around that. But, somehow I doubt it somewhat.

In any case, one of my favourite albums of last year. Along with Far's 'Tin Cans With Strings To You' :)

noisy drives eh...all my games seem fine except NHL2001 ..the noise when this particular game is in the drive is frightening....but it does not effect the game in anyway

I'm not quite sure myself. I suppose they could be conceived as pure genius or utter b*ll*cks.

Some of the lyrics on the album are quite good, as to what they're about is anyone's guess, unless of course they've taken the Tool approach and have intellctualised them.

Heh.:) Yeah, I like the title so I thought I'd steal the monicker. I was toying around with 'One Armed Scissor', but I much prefered 'Non-Zero Possibility'.

I had a friend who HAD an N64. The reason he 'HAD' one was because of dust/carpet contamination. He couldn't repair it.

Wookie Monster, thanks for helping our equipment safe.

It's not just PS2 - *any* such equipment is prone to the effects of static electricity. That's why any PC board you buy comes in a special anti-static bag and warns you earth yourself before touching it!

It may be a rare occurrence, but it happens. Personally, I don't want to risk losing any of my equipment to static. If you're not that bothered, it's your choice!

I'm just trying to give people some sound advice - whether they follow it or not is up to them! :-)
