OK, i am looking for an MP3 player with at least 64mb space on it, the kind where you download the songs from your comp to the player. I dont really want one which plays MP3 CD's as i dont have immediate acces to a CD-RW. The one on SR fits these criteria but some of the customer reviews are dodgy. I have seen this one - - but need someone to explain to me as to what it does, (i think it runs off CD) Preferably the price needs to be around £50/£60. Any recommendations?

(I dont think this is Prohibited on SR as they only have one possibility. Sorry if it is!)

I have decided to get this one from SR;
AV PLUS 32MB MP3 PLAYER ( AV3202H )
It is cheap, and although it only has 32mb, it can have an extra 128 added to it, which i can get really cheaply. My average track size is about 3.5mb, so a total of 160mb would give me space for 45+ tracks which is good enough for me.

Can't be bothered atempting to type out all the symbos wrote: Any specific make of MD?

Sony are the best to go for.

How do you go about putting music on it etc?

Various ways. If copying a CD from a Hi Fi you use an optical(digital)cable or a line cable in the headphone socket.

If, like you want music from you're PC, you'll need a NET MD(cost £170+). You just simpley download MP3 files on to the MD(i think). You say you have LOTS of music, so 64meg i think might only be about 20 tracks. A single MD on LP4 mode will record 70+ tracks on it. the player might cost more than a MP3, but you can store alot more on it. A pack of 10 recordable MDs costs a tenner, but another 64meg stick for a mp3 might cost £40 and still doesn't hold nowhere near as much.

Anyway if you have the time to check these out give me your opinion on them. I still need my questions on Minidisc players answered! Thanks

Well i have a few hundred MB's of MP3's on my laptop, and every so-often, i sort them out into the ones i like the most/listen to the most etc and i have found that i normally organise them to a 64Mb limit. All i want really is a means of potable audio, where i can quickly transfer MP3's from my laptop, without the need of using endless CD's etc.

Any specific make of MD? How do you go about putting music on it etc? If the price is right i might consider it instead. What files does it accept etc?

I'm a MD man myself. Get a net MD and you're sorted. When limit yourself to 64 meg of space when a MD can hole 320 minutes of music on one disk?
