When on the sauce last night I was talking to some mates about Uni and how they had all just received their letter after they replied last week.
REPLIED?
Argh no I'd forgotten
It's okay though, I had to the 28th April and could do it online
Phew
After the brief heart attack I dug out all the UCAS letters and thought of what I was going to do. It's a confusing thing all this.
I got 6 Unconditional replies, 4 of which were for indivdual subjects at Glasgow Uni. I couldn't actually apply directly to the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences so I had to pick the subjects that interested me. I got accepted for all subjects and received to letters from Glasgow... one from Arts and Social Sciences... however I only had intention of doing Social Sciences as more of my subjects are in there but you can cross over some subjects. So now I'd been accepted to both faculties BUT I can only accept one offer from the UCAS options... i.e only 1 subject from the 4 I picked at Glasgow.
I picked Politics, Philosophy, Sociology and Psychology (spelt wrong probably). So there are my subjects. BUT you get admitted to the faculty THEN you actually pick your subjects so I could choose other subjects later. BUT I can't accept an offer to a faculty only a subject in the faculty.
So I picked Politics... I HAD TO decline the rest.
So I hope I haven't boggered it up
My head hurts

What did you apply for?

Sucker! I only need 3 B's to get into Manchester, though chances are your course has more demand.
What is everyone's insurance (2nd) choices?
Well I have till the 28th April.
And I must make sure I get my student lone.
Oh and I had better do some revision.
I just knocked off every tutorial so I didn't have to...
hehe

well if your uni and course are really that crap, you can always reject them and head for clearing afterwards, unless you are doing something really obscure there are bound to be better places.
" You get admitted to a faculty at Glasgow Uni, then you pick your subjects "
" But... there isn't an option for the faculty, only subjects "
" Well I guess you pick a subject "
" What ones? "
" Ones you might pick in the faculty you want "
" But I need to take 3 subjects in the first year at Uni "
" Pick 3 then "
" That uses half my options though "
"*silence*"
" Okay I picked the subjects I want at the Uni "
" Good, you'll get a reply soon "
" Congratulations you have unconditional for all offers "
" Congratulations welcome to the Faculty of Arts AND the Faculty of Social Sciences "
" Erm... I was going to the Social Sciences only I think "
" Okay... you must reply by 28th April "
" UCAS only let me reply to one of my choices though "
" So pick one then "
" Yeah but I picked 4 for Glasgow, what should I pick? "
" Dunno "
" Congratulations politics at Glasgow Uni have accepted you "
" Does that mean the Faculty its in as well? "
" Sure, why not "

I actually understand it a bit more now... still it could be a lot easier
There, I said it.
