I am seriously considering getting a tatoo done soon. I have some free cash and a summer ahead of me so I am more than likely to get one. I know it is illegal as I am under 18, blah blah blah, but I can get one done in the 'rough' area of Leeds.

Basically I want a dragon on my shoulder but havent seen a specific design I like. Do any of you know a website that shows generic tatoos that I can browse, I would appreaciate a link very much.

Also anyone who knows a bit about tatoos can you give me a rough price estimate if I have it done (Just black ink, not colour).

Cheers guys

You live in a nice area in Leeds, why would you want to go to a dodgy area and which dodgy area are you talking about?

If you are serious about the tattoo then waiting until you can get one legally will not lessen the appeal. I would seriously advise against it. I know a lot of blokes who regret having any tattoos done, especially on the arms, but it always seemed like a good idea when they were younger. They now work in enviroments where they have to wear shirts and even in summer they have to be long sleeved because of the tattoos while everyone else works in short sleeved shirts.

And don't say you'll never get one on the arm - if you do get one and like it, you'll probably go for one on the arm eventually so people can see it. Lovely when you're young, gross when you're older.

I always wanted a tattoo of the Thin Lizzy Black Rose but never got round to it. Now I'm really glad I didn't, although on several drunken occasions I do still consider it, but I don't think a reputable shop will do one if you're drunk.

Soo, you're going to a *dodgy* place.
A place where they'll stck equipment into you which, assuming they're *not* dodgy, will have been adequately sterilised beforehand, since they last stuck it into a whole bunch of completely random people.

Oh wait.. there's a problem in that statement...

And yes, if their dodgy lameness screws up your *permanant* artwork, you'd better hope that long summer gives you time to earn a few grand for lazer removal.
And, as mentioned, should something go wrong and the authorities have to step in, you'd be in deep mess.

But hey, it'd be lame to wait until you can get it done legally, because it's only worth doing while having it is illegal.
Nice to see a sound long term consideration of something that's going to last you a heck of a lot longer than your 2 more years under the age limit.
Well, maybe you'll be lucky, catch some disease from the needle and be long dead before having a legal tat even becomes a problem.

Seriously dude, get it done properly, and if you need one now, go henna.

I you're underage you want to choose a place where it's not going to stretch, if you have it across your shoulder you had beter not start getting into body building anytime soon.

I'm set for getting one on my chest and one on my wrist. I may scrap the wrist one though, at least for now.

Lol, somewhere only the privileged few get to see it?

As I have said, I don’t like tats much. I think they look ok in the small of the back on women, and the top of the right shoulder on men. But just think about these things for when you’re older, your skin sags, what’s it going to look like then?
