It isn't the full epic 3D adventure game we'd wanted.

It's not even the stadium game we hoped wouldn't come.

"Pokémon Box" is a gamecube game which only plays with either Ruby and Sapphire attached. When attached via a link cable, the GC game displays some stats and pictures of pokemon in your PC box and thats it. No fighting, no exploring, just stats.

I hope you are all as angry and dissapointed as I am.

Pardon? Their GBA strategy seems to be to release every single SNES title ever, regardless of the original's quality. Hopefully they'll get round to a few more of the good ones soon. Mario RPG please. Oh, and if you could twist Square's arm to get a few of the just-them RPGs too.

It's as much a game as Championship manager is.

It's not really a game so it doesn't count.

Of course I will buy it anyway because I'm sad and I lov Pokemon.

I would hope Nintnedo aren't as money hungry to do that. They are actually committed to making original games, not like our friends at "how about another mindless yearly update/sequel" EA.

Or, they could release an entirely different game altogether!
That way, kids buy the versions different from the GC version on the GBA and Vice Versa.

Hey, add some new stuff and it's made, thats how EA make so much money from the Sims...

It's all very simple, the astronomical success of the Gameboy is currently to do with Pokemon. If Pokemon is released in a full 3D version for the Gamecube, Gamecube sales will lift off. Gameboy ones meanwhile will fall! The idea is simple, to convey some of the success of the Pokemon franchise onto the home console by releasing spin off or add on titles.

Although now I believe would be a good time to release the original Pokemon red and blue onto the home format, because it doesn't have to have the two battle at the same time, the huge maps and the 351 Pokemon of the new games...

That way the Gameboy games would still sell as they are advanced gameplay wise than the Cube version.

Probably.

Nintendo could always do with more cash. They have the Q fund, with all the little kiddies money from buying pokemon cards while they were in fashion in it though. And the Rare money. But against biggest-company-in-the-world-microsoft and the playstation brand, any cash injection wouldn't go amiss. 'specially after that huge fine.

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
Many thanks!!
