What did you go for?

The TV delivery people told my parents they found the bigger the TV the 'chavier' the owners/property!

Perhaps you're going upmarket!

Its an LG 55W5600, bought it because it was cheap really rather than any real need for a new TV. With CES this month, good time to buy I suppose.

TV is about three years old and suffered under my youngest daughter a bit. The upstairs 32" Sony TV was the last one we got (not including the 22" LG TV/monitor) and has a really good picture. After testing Samsung, Sony and Panasonic ones today I'm going with another Sony, the motion flow and 3D looked the best for an LED TV. The LGs were pretty good too, but the passive 3D wasn't impressive.

Reminds me of that old/bad joke:

"What is the technical name for the box attached to a satellite dish?"
"A council house."

The TV too heavy was it? (I'm imagining a cartoon style 'TV landing on you, you getting shorter- xylophone style')

That telly didn't seem to last long - I remember you getting it :¬)

I can recommend the Samsung D8000 Smart TV range!
Been using my Dad's over Xmas but I'll get one later this year hopefully.

iPlayer etc. all built in and works well.
Here's a pic of my website in 40" glory(!) with the TV also playing in PiP.

Bamboo fence came down from the fixings in the wind last night. Temporary fix this afternoon, but looks like I need more fencing.

Also need a new TV as mine is going wrong and my warranty ran out. Using TV from upstairs for now and will use vouchers I was originally saving for a Vita to replace it.
