Nope, perfectly flat and level much like yours Chas, I guess. Yes I wondered whether it applied to electric ovens as well :¬)
This just seems to support the stupidity of it all. It also applies to an electric oven!

It reads like the script for a really bad comedy sketch! Tipping your cooker over by standing a sponge cake on the door seems a little unlikely to me...
If your food is heavier than your cooker, surely you shouldn't be allowed in a kitchen? Ever?!
Regulatory madness as usual...
At £108 for a "quality Cooker Chain", I'd be inclined to use a bungie instead. Far more fun in "food tipping" situations, don't you think?

Is your kitchen floor on a bit of a slope, DL? Never heard of that one in all my years!
And why is it only gas ovens that need them? Are electric ovens less prone to suddenly tumbling out of your kitchen? First thing I'm doing when I get home is to chock up the front of my oven just in case...

Trump could be behind this bizarre sugggestion! Had our gas boiler/system service this morning ... all ok but gas oven should be placed on 'an advisory' due to 'no chain' fitted!!!! Who the f**k is going to steal a gas oven? Apparently, it is to stop it from falling forward ... much like a wardrobe ... what???
Try this info:
"Drill and screw hook into wall.
Attach chain to cooker - either use the round attachment to go round the gas pipe (part of cooker) or pick any hole in the rear of the cooker (there's normally quite a few) and attach chain using nut and bolt.
Clip chain to hook in wall. "
Now this sounds really professional and a really a load of 'boll*cks' ... just what I said to the service engineer! How many times has your oven fallen over people ...

Hoping to get a new electric hob, though, which would solve the issue (after we've paid for a gas repair person to take the pipe away and seal it, of course, which may end up doubling the price of the hob. Maybe Easter with the sales, but need to save the money first.

This a phone or a Nintendo Switch ... or both ;¬) Chance would be a fine thing here, doesn't even offer to buy me a pint!
Very frosty, but windless this morning which was ideal weather working in the yard from 0830 until 1445 ... but now it's heavy rain? Odd ... must be Trump's World Domination clicking into place.
Well it certainly ain't global warming...

Uncle Ben's Rice Time to the rescue today for lunch. That and some M&S Rocky Road which I seem to have ended up with yesterday.

I'm holding off for a bundle later in the year. There is nothing really catching my attention until Mario but my phone playing up may spoil the plans. The phone has had a few funny turns as if it was getting lots of phantom screen presses. I've turned on the developer options and can now see where the presses register and of course, it has behaved since. Hopefully it continues to behave.

In other news, just £79.99 to find for my Nintendo Switch pre-order now. Then to try to find money for games. I'm determined to do trade ins and use vouchers and not spend a penny on it of actual money, though, as I can't afford it.
