Actually the lecturer who suggested it said "very efficient" on numerous occasions. I had to stop myself for saying "stereotypical".
Should be a great opportunity!
Edit: It's not the morning DL... ;)
I was preparing you for your first day in research ... I presume you'd start in the morning even in Germany, very efficient there you know :¬)
May use a translator later to find out if I was right...

On the plus side, I've been approached to do a research project in Germany this summer, so actually looking forward to that!
Guten Morgen HM, hier für den Augentest?
:¬)
sorry I've been away for a few days, it's our equivalent to half term - no lectures, but plenty of labs and clinics. Knackered! Prac exam yesterday went badly (can't assess the fit of a contact lens if you can't get the darned things in...but may have passed due to the rest of the test). pb is correct you would be far more likely to get a response by posting in the tech forum.
I have encoded video files to be used for similar applications as you are describing. I have mainly used video editing software for doing this (Mediastudio Pro 8 is very good for this but it is expensive and I think it only runs on XP, could be wrong on that so don't take that as gospel). I have also encoded short video files to FLV format which makes very small file sizes and I think it can be used in the manner in which you require. I'm sure I used a freeware program to do this, I can have a look on my PC when I get home later if you would like the name of it as I can't recall it from memory.
EDIT : The FLV convertor is called 'Free Video To Flash Converter' by DVDVideosoft. If I remember correctly it subtly tries to install an internet searchbar and new homepage (which you obviously don't do). Untick the boxes that do that upon installation but other than that it worked pretty well.
Hope this helps.
On another note; can you please get someone to add Playstation Vita to the drop down list of consoles on the Reviews and Gaming sections? I'll be needing that soon.
Quoting this so MCLONG sees, in case I don't talk to him today.
There are a few gurus around that could probably guide you through that.
I'd post a new topic in the Web Development forum if I were you ( Click here ) as well and it will be easier for them to take you through it, plus the answer will be there for anyone else who has the same issue.
I am plodding along but have hit a problem with loading video to my site. I want to load a couple of scenes from various films that I have done, but dont know how to compress a 3minute clip to 10mb. I have AVS video converter. Any suggestions anyone?
