I can remember really loving the novel 'King Solomon's Mines' when I was about 12, so I guess it would be Allan Quatermain. Failing that it would be Desperate Dan from The Dandy :¬)

I've always been a little vertically challenged, so I went to one school party as an Airfix test pilot...

I did suggest the same (well, the Invisible girl) as a joke to my eldest, but she thought it was a great idea so I quickly moved on!

I can't remember what books I read when I was 7, probably The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe or Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, so it might have been Aslan or Willy Wonka for me!

I'd have no idea what I would have gone as when I was at school. Knowing young me, probably something cocky like 'Frodo wearing the One Ring' and just not turn up...
