Heh. It didn't sound as good until I read it back!

Still, I do like the mix of seaside and countryside.

Morning.

Luckily, we had less rain yesterday evening and the stream is back down to a more reasonable size, though still looking rather blocked.

Sorry to hear that pb :¬( Last time it happened to us, the Council turned up 2 hours after the event with enough sandbags to re-build the Berlin Wall!!!

Can't use them now as the bags have all rotted! So if you want a lot of sand, feel free :¬)

Woke up to the stream outside flooding and the house at the bottom of the road being flooded.

The building company were supposed to hand the land to the council years ago, but apparently the council didn't pick up our close so I have no idea who now owns the land.

Not sure, but having read up a bit, water courses are still supposed to be sorted by the local authority anyway. Well, they came about 7.30am and complained that it probably wasn't them. Brought a digger that was no use because it was too big and haven't been back since.

Shame... We've had constant flood warnings in Essex for the last few days but there's barely been a drop of rain. Guess we've got it all to come!

Storm just hit all of a sudden, sky went dark, heavy rain and big clap of thunder. Just before I go out and pick the kids up too.
