Cheers guys, will check out The Hunger Games when it comes out in a few weeks. It was my Mrs. who really wanted to see it but after reading your thoughts I'm up for giving it a try.

Anyone seen The Hunger Games? Is it actually any good or is it just Battle Royale for the Twilight brigade?

I went to see it with my Mrs (my ma tagged along too). Enjoyed it.

Although it could be described as Battle Royale for Twilightists, this is not a very bad thing in this case. It certainly contains the love triangle that is so popular now, but it is actually done pretty well (and is really the only thing that gives it that 'sparkly' feel).

The story itself is pretty solid, and gives enough of the 'Big Brother' feel that it is watchable by the fans of that whole 'scene'.

It enouraged me to read the books, and I did so. Enjoyable again.

Like the Twilight series, it is 'easy reading' style. Not quite Scott Card, Eddings or Martin style that I usually engulf, but still readable.

Morning all.

It's not chronic blethoritus though, so it may be ok. Anyway I'll tell them on Monday and they can decide from there.

I'd like to know too. The iTunes release date is 3 weeks before it's even in cinemas here. It's not all bad, I saw Brave two weeks ago. You guys might like it, especially if you have daughters or granddaughters.

My main concern is that I have Blepharitis as well.

If that's the case then it's advised that contact lenses are really a no-no and I don't see that SpecSavers have any real solution except a video that advises you to wash your eyelashes with baby shampoo ... anyway, see here which you probably have already done:

I used to wear them about 25 years ago - soft lenses as they were then. But as I got older, I found that they were great outdoors but dried extremely quickly indoors, especially in the winter - central heating etc. My eyes also became susceptible to tungsten light i.e fluorescent tube lights used inside buildings etc. So I returned to glasses with a 'tint' - easier to take off when reading and using a computer and much better with artificial light :¬)
