Coffee time again, then try to get a little further into all these projects.
Apple announcement yesterday was nice but no real surprises about the iPhone. New iPod Touch is great, though, if a little expensive.
Still on year 1 of a 2 year contract, so unless there's a nice deal for buying out a year I won't be upgrading at the moment. I did think about trying to get a cheap Galaxy S3 for the Android side of my website though, just using a Sony Xperia Play at the moment.
Docs early this morning for a diagnosis, then drove to Sheffield ... replaced a shed roof and additional garden maintenance, drove back through torrential cloud-bursts and 'di*k-head' drivers, baked beans in a bowl and b/b for tea ... and no posts to review from throughout the day!!!
Back in the office, breakfast eaten and now on to coffee.
Wonder what the PSN update will bring today.
Yeah, came as a surprise really. I think it came mainly from writing the blog on our profession's student website, attending many conferences and just trying to promote optometry as a profession. I know I am sorted for a year at least after graduation as I have my pre-registration year to undertake, but hoping to stay on for a year or so to gain experience before returning to university to do the PhD with an ultimate goal to become a lecturer of optometry. As it stands, both my university and at Plymouth, there are dr's and professors that want me on their books to research with them. Fingers crossed I pass my training year and everything rolls into place. Of course, it depends on relationship/family commitments at the time, but all is looking like it is worth the effort.
Have you finished your desk reshuffle yet pb?
Haha! Loved it mate! Sadly I didn't win, but came a close second I believe. I may have been a mint polo, but to be fair my competition was a Trebor extra strong!
Glad you liked it! :)
Seriously though it was a massive achievement to get nominated, that will do no harm whatsoever on your CV and if anyone ever asks why you didn't win you can now blame the bloke responsible for your rubbish campaign poster!
First day back in the office and I needed to do a desk re-shuffle. Normally a quick task, but I tend to have a lot of stuff on my desk, so it's taken a while.
Plus my Three mobile signal for WIFI doesn't work this side of the office.
