Just about to go out for a 'works' evening ... the meal should be enough for me, think I'll forget the 'after' meal activities ... too old for that sort of thing ;¬)
It's Friday, it's the end of term and I'm knackered. That's why I'm going to cheat and take the kids to McDonalds tonight.

Happy birthday Smedders.
The sun is threatening to break through the clouds up here in honour of your day.
Thanks! The beers are cooling in the fridge, the takeaway menus are all waiting to be read, roll on 7pm!
It's been really nice here all day so the weather has been really kind here for my birthday!

It was really overcast when I got up this morning so I put a winter coat on and took my umbrella when I went into Derby, by the time I got back at half 12 it was blazing sunshine and really warm and I was sweating buckets!
It's my birthday today, 37 years old, so I'm just having a relaxing day watching the snooker and horse racing then having a few friends over tonight for a takeaway and a few drinks while we watch the Derby match on Sky.

Morning all how is everyone today?
Well the weatherman got the forecast completely wrong today! It was supposed to be nice and sunny here this morning so I put some washing out at 7-30am this morning when it was just a bit overcast, had a walk to Tesco for a paper, and ended up having to run back as by the time I got there it had started to rain.
Still, the washing was only out in it for about 5 minutes so I've put it all on a couple of driers in the house to dry. I was going to do a bit in the garden later on but it soaked now so I think I'll have to put it off to the weekend when hopefully it'll be dry.
If it clears up I've got a few errands to run in Derby so hopefully I'll be able to get them out of the way later on.
This is why we have a glass veranda. Washing out in all weather. Rained this morning here, too, but was good enough to stay dry taking the dogs out after breakfast
wet here today but it has been a fairly wet week.
My wife and daughter are off to Devon this weekend so my 'office' space is being overrun with suitcases and things to be packed.

Well, wife has been packed off to Spainfor a few days. Last minute thing so didn't get it all booked in until last night and only just made the coach this morning.
Looks like I'm working from home the next few days, in between cooking, cleaning, walking the dogs, picking up kids etc.
