Haha ... still on her way and still raining! Must say, it saves on the postage!

Have you seen the cost of stamps these days ... total scandal, especially when the Royal Numpty here turns up when he likes, usually after 2pm and then has to ask if he's got the right address!

He's been delivering here or perhaps somewhere similar for the last 3 years!

Hey DL, you and the missus floating yet?

Still got internet connection with the outside world ... last saw Mrs DL about 2 hours ago clutching a passing piece of driftwood going towards the neighbours. The boat's brilliant though!

EDIT: Don't fret, she's got the Christmas cards and the Faroe Islands are within easy reach.

That's a Far-oe way...

...I'm here all week.

Going home in a boat....

Likewise here ... there is a good sized moat around the front of the house and we're now going to move into a boat ...

Morning.

Despite all the warnings, it doesn't seem to be raining this morning. Rained a lot over night, but I'm just out to Exeter so I'm hoping it wasn't enough to flood anywhere on route.

Last day of work on Monday and probably not much of that going on anyway, since pretty much everyone else is away. Then it's off until 8th Jan, which will be a nice break.

End of one and the start of a new one, rather like our New Year! The end of the 13th Bak'tun ... thus the start of the 14th Bak'tun!

Simples ;¬)

" .... that was because no such apocalypse is foretold. David Stuart, a noted Mayan and Meso-American specialist at the University of Texas at Austin, observed in his book The Order Of Days: The Maya World and the Truth About 2012, that "no Maya text – ancient, colonial or modern – ever predicted the end of time or the end of the world."

Both Stuart and another noted Mayan scholar, Carl Callaway of La Trobe University in Melborne, Australia, admit that December 21, 2013, marks a special occasion in the ancient Mayan calendar. They hold that December 21, 2012, marks the end of the 13th Bak'tun period. The close of each Bak'tun period occurs approximately once every 5125 years. The last time a Bak'tun period ended was at the beginning of the current Maya era in August 11, 3114 B.C. making December 21, 2013, the dawn of a new period. "
