If you think The Sims is bad on PC, try it on console. I dare you.
... a friend in need haha :¬D Thanks Chris
@pete ... one game and it's Sims! Branch out young man, live life ... take a risk ... go for PC Gaming not PC Fawning!
Smedders, sorry to hear about your hand mate, that sounds nasty. I'm quite good at breaking things myself, hurts doesn't it? :(
Thanks it hurts like hell if I try and move it and until tomorrow at least all I'm allowed to take for pain relief is Ibuprofen.
At least if I do have to have an op they'll be able to give me something a bit stronger but it's going to be a good 4 weeks at best before it's healed.

My recent experience of PC gaming based on the only PC game owned in our household (Sims 3).
Inserted disc into PC, came up with join EA Origins thing before it would even start, did that continued with install, took about 20 minutes before getting to title screen, prompted me to install game updates.....1.2GB of game updates, got to 97% then hung, waited another 15 minutes (just to make sure.....you know in case it had just stopped for a rest or something!) before exiting and trying again, lost everything that I had already done so had to start from scratch, this time (despite doing nothing different whatsoever?) it seemed to work, then I had to buy some Simpoints because apparently they need different hairstyles??, finally got the game running after nearly an hour. While this was going on had someone harping on at me that they wanted to use the PC for something else, we have 3 in our household but this person apparently wanted this particular one as it is a PC and ''not a bloody gaming thing''.
Time taken: Ridiculous
Stress Level: Unbearable
Game: Looks rubbish to me
Compared to Gears Of War Judgment on my Xbox 360:
Opened tray, inserted disc, closed tray, installed very minor update, game up and running in about a minute.
Time taken: Minimal
Stress Level: None
Game: Actually really good
Within a matter of minutes I was greeted by a large selection of potty mouthed 12 year old racists screaming out of my TV speakers. I'll be honest I am getting really tired of this, kind of regretting shelling out for that season pass now :(
I've changed my mind, I hate them both!

Why would I want to change from open tray, insert disc, play game?
This PC gaming does sound like fun :P
damn, you have to do three things?!
(Click Steam, play...)
Managed to break my left hand on Thursday and I've got to go back to see a consultant tomorrow who's likely to say I'll need an operation on it to pin the break.
Still, at least I get to practice my 1 hand typing!
