Poems are incredibly personal I think, so be careful. I don't write them anymore, but I'm not sure if I'd post them in here if I did, if they were so personal.

The only poems I tend to write these days are ones of children's story kinda plot things.

I dont think it's a question of being good enough. I think it's probably more are they suitable for the type of poncey stuff that people post in there. Pseudo intelectual guff most of it is and if you dont write the same you'd likely get taken apart.

Music is a complicated one and trying to put it as simply as possible. I think there are those who hear it and those who listen to it.
I find it impossible to comprehend how someone could love some hairy guy screaming for 4 minutes so i've always attributed that to simply following a fashion. It's more common in the young and stupid.
Then there is the other side, the people who listen. Who are interested in lyrics and melody and beauty. I guess those people just have a better understanding and look for something to listen to more on their level.

I guess music refering to depth of the person.. I guess it's because many different bands cover many different ranges of emotion, of thinking. I don't think it's until you can experience them all, and listen to something and at least relate to it in some way.. I don't know, I guess it's my own argument for personal intellectual and emotional depth. Music is very much about expression, so naturally, plenty of things get expressed.

But then, not everyone likes music, so it's hard to say. I kinda feel this is all reading as if to say 'well.. duh'.

I try not to consciously judge people on the depth of their musical taste though, but it's definitely there sub-consciously I imagine. A lot of my favourite people don't have varied musical taste saying that, but the people I'm closest to and care most for have very deep taste.
