This is the thread for general chat.

Tell us how your day was, say hello or just introduce yourself if you're new to the site.

I'm confused... why are there less "views" than "posts" in this forum. Is it possible to post without looking at thie thread? Do you just copy the link above?

I'm guessing its either the age of the thread... or perhaps that it was too many digits. The latter would mean that the PS2 longest thread is about to reach that mark - its on 98,000 views and could be about to reset to 00001 or something silly.

I usually only post in 3 topics or so anyway so i have to sift through all the nonsense just to find them again taking up more time then it should do.

Damarus' post sums this up perfectly

I think its the regulars like us that will also be a problem, especially for those like myself who visit infrequently. I pop in when I have a free moment at work but don't see anything in the evenings or during the weekend, so when I return its hard enough to keep up as it is, let alone with all the topics combined in here.

I know a lot of other regulars who like to chat about a specific set of topics will be unimpressed at the gaggle of new topics in the way.

Plus... how annoying will it be to read a topic called something like "best game ever" which you might click on, read about and then after five minutes discover its on another console and as a result won't be an option. A total waste of time followed by a major disappointment. Very silly!

Well its not impossible, I've seen some forums have just one game forum. But this probably won't work for the juveniles that are on here :)

As in blood and entrails on the floor messy, indeed. This decision really is quite baffling

:D Very true! I just thought I might cheekily be the first to start a new generation of console wars (in the combined forum) by accidentally forgetting to mention all the console manufacturers.

Tis absolutely right.

I mentioned Sony and Nintendo, but...

I forgot Atari and their Jaguar.

What were they thinking?

Were they thinking that all the different console people could really get along?

Geez .. I'm not on here for a couple of days and armageddon happens :)

I'm kinda hoping this forum is split back into the three main components again, Sony, Nintendo and Sega. It'll all get a bit messy otherwise.
