Just an idea...
If you want to encourage more traffic on the site you might want to consider adding a Share feature, which would allow users to share posts they like on Facebook and Twitter (and others).
For example, if I find a good gaming offer I;ll post it in the thread, but it just stays there until someone stumbles across it. Adding a simple Share button would allow me to post on my Twitter feed and share it with my followers in a matter of seconds.
Or of someone else posts something I particularly like or perhaps disagree with then again I can share it, and in doing so potentially prompt more debate and get others to take a look at the site.
