Morning,

Another nice looking day, but will it last until after I finish work? The weekend isn't looking so good and we've been threatened with the remnants of that hurricane from the US on the South Coast.

... That's about exciting as the day gets, bar the large pick n' mix in the drawer.

Is it a true pick n mix or have all the good ones been taken and it's now a sad sub-standard mix of aging dross that no-one wants?

If it's the former then you're in for a good day, if it's the latter then I feel sorry for you.

Luckily, the former. We've just scraped the surface. There are pink pigs, chocolate mice and more below, with dolly mixtures making up as many of the small gaps as I could find.

It's not doing any good being stuck in a drawer... free the goodies.

Morning.

About to have coffee and get a start on the day. That's about exciting as the day gets, bar the large pick n' mix in the drawer.

Another Walking Dead episode done on 360. Just wondering how aseason 2 will end. I'm trying to decide if it's been as good as season 1 so far, the last episode of that was amazing.

I've been enjoying it as much as season 1. I think a couple of the tough decisions have been a little harder this time round. The main difference for me is that I bought season 1 as a whole whereas only the 1st 3 episodes had been released when I got season 2. I much prefer just carrying on rather than waiting for the next episode.

Morning.

Coffee is needed to get this morning going. Just need to put all my work stuff down for a minute and walk over to the machine...

Had a look at the release schedule for games coming out this year and, despite a few in September, it's the usual crowded October/November time again, made worse by having the new console format games on top of last generation's continued support.

Films are nearly as bad, with big summer blockbusters all coming out at the end of the year.

Morning.

It did get me thinking, DL, that this is an interesting time, where we have an important historical event with no live witnesses but lots of different media available, including the availability of interviews with people who were involved in the war looking back at that time. Probably the first time that's happened, with media in its infancy during the early 20th Century and then growing realization since then that we need to have archived interviews as a way of storing knowledge of history.

Makes me wonder what TV interviews would have been like if they were possible after past historical events...
