I wish him luck though, every little will help in that situation.
Did they manage to retain all use of the hand?
The palm of his hand and the back of his hand are still heavily stitched but these should dissolve soon. The concern at the moment is his 4th finger and his little finger. Consultant visit at the end of this week. Time will tell :¬)
*snip*
Jesus, that sounds terrible. All of it, so I am sorry to hear.
It must be nice to be able to help out, but I can't imagine its easy.

It's Monday again, the start of a new week. A very cold start, -5, though, but dry here, at least.
Hopefully things will turn around for you and your family DL.
Doesn't look too bad out there today, but supposed to be getting colder.
A 'mashed hand'? That sounds terrible. What happened?
If I didn't have enough to deal with last year ... eldest son had major heart surgery, then father-in-law died as I was trying to get my dad into care ... guess what, he died. Just starting to sort his estate and my youngest son, a welder, 4 days before Christmas Day had his right hand trapped in a steel bending roller and spent 4 days in hospital + plastic surgery and was then released. It was not a pretty sight! It was an 'open, crushed facture' ... bone everywhere, as you can imagine!
He was given an initial note for 6 weeks but today this has now been extended for a further 7 weeks! My daughter-in-law works hard but cannot support the family and nursery fees.
Even though I still look after my granddaugher every Tuesday and Wednesday, which I've done since she was 4 mths old and she'll be 3 this April , 'financial support' is very necessary. So Dad's the word ...
Int life grate!
Dad is going to have to 'supplement' their income at some point ... if only their 'nursery fees' per month for my granddaughter.
Int life brill ;¬)
Dry and no sign of the white stuff still. It's even bright enough to see outside now.
Now we have 'proper' snow falling steadily ... about 2" so far :¬)
