Taking time 'off' can be irksome, but where I last worked it was so easy, as long as you didn't encroach on someone's 'booked' holiday ... as my department only had four people, you could even take the afternoon off if you got fed up with work that same morning! So easy ;¬)
Besides, we need posts to keep the forum alive
My head feels like it's stuck in a vice. I think I need some time off.
Looks like we got a few extra items in our shopping yesterday. The delivery man said they were 'free' which probably means that he had no idea what had happened. Beats other weeks when we've had stuff missing.
Well that was certainly a downpour this morning.
""God hasn't abandoned us and my son will become again what he has been, a goal scorer."
This is from Falcao's mother regarding her son's failure to score goals for Man Utd ...
"Before his move to Old Trafford, Falcao was one of the most prolific strikers in the world with 104 goals in 139 games for Porto, Atletico Madrid and Monaco."
This lad is 29. My eldest son is 30. He's played football for most of his life and hasbeen a leading goal scorer for most of the clubs he's played for.
Last June he had major heart surgery and now has a 14" scar from his throat to his groin. He hasn't moaned about it but got on with his love of playing the game ... he's started to score again ...
"However, Falcao, who earns approximately £265,000-a-week at United, has not scored since his goal against Leicester City on 31 January 2015. "
Think about it ;¬)
Afternoon all.
Not much to report today, other than a big workload and no time to do anything,
Early doors today ... another granddaughter day:¬) She's growing beyond belief ... and such a lovely character. Son and daughter-in-law finally picked her up just after 5pm and she wanted to stay with gampa:¬)
Mrs DL has taken my 'new' car to Sheffield today, for a couple of days, as mother-in-law has an eye op tomorrow ... so what are they doing right now ... at Meadowhall!!, because it's open until 9pm!
Believe me, I'm looking forward to the rest.
