Happy New Year everyone.
Day started fine and bright here. Got a lot done, but at 4pm ... 'Armageddon' for 15 mins ... unbelieveable weather. Settled until now ... we've just had a second 15 mins blast!

7 Swans-a-swimming. Not surprised with all the rain we've had.
It started off well today, was even going to wash the car this afternoon, then the rain hit early, much too early.
Still, we have our shopping and some cheer-us-up party food for tonight, then we're all set to watch TV and celebrate the coming of the New Year.

Thank 'Frank' for that pb ... the wind up here overnight and during this morning was devastating. My garden is a real mess ... upturned watering cans, buckets all over the garden and worst of all, one of Mrs DL's willow hearts had been blown up the back alley :¬)

And just to change the mood slightly, I just read that Lemmy is dead. That's a bit of a shock. Apparently only found out he had cancer on Boxing Day. Another loss to music.

Well, morning all. 5th day of Christmas. As I wasn't feeling particularly Christmassy before, I'm making up for it now through to the end of Christmas.
Went to the sales yesterday. Despite them being on since Boxing Day, we had an hour's journey to Exeter, something that normally takes half that time. All we needed was school stuff for the kids, which we managed to get, eventually. We didn't get much else, so I was quite pleased over the restraint we all showed! That said, I did get a few bargains in our local Tesco on Sunday, including a half price one of those Lindt ball things I've been wanting for a while.

Christmas holiday seems to have flown past and I'm back in work. Interesting start to the day in that the door was unlocked, the alarm was off and nobody was here.
