How can someone come fifth and still win. :S Where's GP, he has some explaining to do. I thought they fixed this because of last year with Lewis Hamilton.

What about Pidgin IM but not supported by Windows yet. Or else Windows Live does the same trick.

Sorry guys, when I mentioned MSN, I meant MSN Messenger, I'm looking for a new IM program. That's right ICQ were bought by AOL and they totally messed it up and people moved to MSN. Unfortunately I'm finding MSN just as annoying as AOL ICQ with all their added crap that's no use to me. (Can we say crap on this forum? I forget)

Oh and I pay Google to host my website email accounts. So much better than the other alternatives. If only Google did a decent IM too, that's why I asked Garin for a Google Wave invite, but he's not got one. :(

I use Google Analytics too, oh oh and I forgot to mention DropBox, just started using that today on my laptop and iPod touch. It's smegging fantastic. Can't believe it's free. Now if only I could afford a MacBook Pro and Drobo.

Vaguely remember it -and if I remember correctly, ICQ stood for "I seek you". I believe it was bought by AOL - never did get on with them in dial-up days. But I'd go with Hmmm's suggestion, far better :-)

These days the way to go is to register your own domain rather than use some naff free provider!

Obviously I can recommend you use Freeola - but you you already know I'm a fan ;¬)

With your own domain you don't have cheapo ads added to your emails like you do with Hotmail etc. And you won't get caught out if your free provider packs up - like Lycos!

I see you mention you use Twitter - please let us have your id :¬)

I just deleted the hotmail account I signed up for in 1996. This might shock you to learn, but at the time the idea of having your email online on a website was unthinkable. Then Microsoft bought it and it went downhill. I haven't used it for years anyway.

Although I do sometimes use MSN, is there a better alternative out yet? It's going the way of ICQ* and it's really putting me off.

* - I think only DL and pb might remember this

Maybe every couple of days or even longer, but be selective and try to maintain the interest. Even link one or two 'activities' together to give a cohesive and readable blog.....little quips and 'views on life' are always entertaining if related to an actual experience...you know what I mean :-)
