You can buy US PSN cards on ebay, that's the way I do it. I recommend these guys as they get my codes sent by email really fast.
The funds will stay in your account if you switch back to UK PSN as well, so no worries there. Don't forget though that Tax is added to the total, so $10 will not get you 2 $4.99 games as I found out a while back!

InFamous looks like a game i will really like!
I will check out the store when i get home this afternoon, plenty of games for me to play i think lol. Between Xbox and Ps3, i should have my hands full!
But managed to get;
250Gb Slimline Ps3, LBP, Ratchet & Clank Quest for Booty, 2 year warranty and a £20 PSN store card.
All for £242 (traded in AC2, so it took £20 off)
Good deal i thought!
Oh and i will add people on Playstation when i get home!

If you have some money on PSN left, there are some good offers to check out for games as well at the moment (under Special Offers on the PSN) but I'd look at getting Flower, The Last Guy, Bomberman is always good (and cheap at the moment), Pixeljunk Shooter is brilliant.

Also saw Avatar last night, really enjoyed it.
Long film but well worth seeing in 3-D. Looked really good i thought. A great film to end the year with!
