It's more off the forums than on them, although it happens here to a certain extent but I'm used to that.

For example, not so long ago, I was speaking with my brother and I was concerned about something he said so I gave some advice. The next day, he speaks to someone else about the same thing, gets the same advice and praises him for the great advice.

I don't know why I bother opening my mouth most days.

Don't feel like that GP, we are all here or thereabouts:-) Just been trying to clear some of the snow from our drive - but after three attempts - due to the fact that its banged it down again on every attempt - I've given up for the day....let it snow...:-)

Feeling pretty invisible today so it is just a normal day for me. It just seems like every day I say something, it gets ignored so I'm less and less interested in saying anything at all.

Well, I'm out in the car and just managed to get out of my road, main road is fine.

Cold again, though.
Thank goodness for mobile internet...

How is everyone else this morning?

Need to go out tomorrow morning for the weekly shop as we need stuff for lunch, it will be the first time I use my car since the snow started on Wednesday and the first time I've been outside of our road since then as well.

Just hope it doesn't snow more until after Sunday!

Glad it does have back brakes or it wouldn't have passed at all :-D

Alloys do let you see the 'brakes' - the discs if you have rear disc brakes or the drums if you have rear brake shoes. I suspect that this is what you have. Cleaning means to remove the drums and clean out the build up of 'brake dust' - this can have an adverse effect on positive braking ie between the shoes and the inside surface of the drum.

PS Brake dust is what makes your front alloys go mucky quickly - the dust created by friction during braking on the discs, but as the discs are open to the elements it can escape:-)

Car passed it's MOT... major relief.

Perhaps someone with a passing knowledge in cars can help me here. The guy aid the back brakes could do with being cleaned. I didn't realise I had back brakes and I mentioned this to him but he is sure I do. With alloys, can you not see the brakes?
