I second this. Read a preview of the new version this morning, sounds like it could be a great game.

Glad to hear about your eldest pb, fingers crossed for the rest of you!

Afternoon.

I can smell some delicious smells emanating from the kitchen. Still a while to wait for dinner though.

Eldest now recovered, hoping none of the rest of us get it now!

Alien vs Predator on Steam for £2,99 at the moment, it's a classic game for anyone looking for a cheap PC game.

First WLT post at 11:38? Must be some kind of record...

Anyway, morning all who are here on this fine Sunday. Finally stopped raining here after about a week of it non-stop, the sun is actually out. It's a weird feeling.

All new reviews and site visitors are welcomed HM, Warhunt will be pleased!

It means that the readers have their place to respond to their views, as well as secretly trying to get them to contribute to freeola.

Plus, hopefully it means that a few more reviews in light of GAD attempts :p

Think that's a great idea.

Toying with setting up a game review site myself (got to do something with my Freeola websites!) hopefully together with a mate.

I did originally, but they still got funny. It's away now.

I'll let it die down a tad first and then I'm sure I'll try a few forums and post it. No doubt if they have asked us, they're bound to have asled other groups as well.

Thanks pb. I may be looking to do some hotel visits (very small groups of no more than 6 - so i.e. 3 rooms somewhere). Jamaica Inn is meant to be good (and you're probably closer to it than I am), so if I did that, you are on the team :)

EDIT: Forgot to say - I plan to review films, games and books for here and for my site, so rather than have to host the same review in two places on the web, I may (if it's not too much of a problem) post the review here and place links leading to the forum pages. Who knows, it may encourage some new users... Literally it would be as if I was writing it for here anyway, just some may of interest to the paranormal community.

Saying that I need to stop playing around on facebook and actually start reviewing some films :p

Simple HM, you get a friend to put it up on the site and make it clear that it's not something you or anyone related to the site has written.

Or just ensure that a bunch of chat forums (especially places like the Fortean Times forum) know about it.

Anyway, I wish you luck on future hunts and wish i could join you. Website is looking really good now.

I think thats why I was eager to take it down as perhaps it could be viewed as that. But still, if you do get asked to fake something to bring in more business to one that has just ripped you off majorly, you would normally include that in your opinion.

It would be like someone charging you over the odds to buy something from a website, they not deliver the goods. Then demanding you make a good review to send them more business so they can rip more people off.

Well I'm not even mentioning their name now. They took offence a while back when the first review went up as they had asked us to publish a fake one (which naturally we refused) so we added the fact they approached us to do so to the report. I'm happy to wash my hands of them now - if they want to claim it's haunted its fine, but they aren't going to get any referrals from my site.

They wouldn't necessarily have a leg to stand on as such but you have to be careful of what constitutes as slander and attacking ones credibilty.

Probably best to remove all traces, but if you want to be fair keep an honest review up. After all it is your experience and opinion on the site.

Afternoon :)

Absolutely shattered and feel hungover. Only had two glasses of Pepsi last night so it's weird (although they were on from the taps).

Had a meeting with the BPRG with our upcoming Woodchester Mansion investigation only 4 weeks away. Can't wait. We also had to sort some legal stuff out as my first investigation place wants to sue us because we said we didn't experience anything on their property. I think they may be even more annoyed because we also published that they approached us to fake a report. Really wouldn't think they would have a leg to stand on as a) the report is our opinion (ala a crtic doesn't get sued for writing a bad review on a film or restaurant) and b) if they are charging a huge amount of money to explore a "really haunted" place when they know nothing is there, isn't that misleading? Anyway, to solve matters I took the bits they didn't like off completely and now am going to remove all traces of their name from the site - I'm not advertising for them!

May start a few more reviews today, ready for the week after next! :p
