From the thread 'views' count (now 1000+) it looks like lots of people are searching for info on Microsoft's update! :¬)

Afternoon all.

Had a day off, waiting for Washing Machine to arrive. Luckily it did and looks good. Rearranged kitchen too, so kept busy.

Think that's part of unarmed combat training, just attack someone and then wander about, you'll notice the X changes to 'special attack' or something like that :)

3 smoke bombs and a trip to Venice - theres a big area of the map that is all red. Just attack a guard then go running about until you have 10 or more with you. Drop a smoke bomb and get happy with the assassin's blades. When the smoke starts to wear off drop another one. Should be able to get 10 with 2 smoke bombs with the third being a backup.

That area is also usefull for getting the swinging achievement/trophy. Just make sure the first guy you get has a big pointy pole and then go running about gathering some guys up (don't use RT though otherwise you drop the pole) Smoke bombs are also usefull for this but if memory servers you drop the pointy stick before you can drop a bomb.

Hmm, you can kill Brutes without disarming them ya know. I usually just go flying at them with my assassin blades mixed in with the grab/throw techniques. Alternatively, drop a smoke bomb or send some thieves to distract them while you knife them from behind. Once they're dead, just press O (or 360 equivalent) when standing on their weapon to pick it up.

I think the achievement/trophy is to hit 4 or 5 guards with one swing, rather than to kill them with one swing. But you need a long weapon for this.

There's also a trophy for killing 10 enemies in the same instance of combat without taking any damage yourself. This one sounds very tricky, but I imagine with thieves, smoke bombs and a few attempts it will be possible? Maybe Grieve can tell us how he did it....??

Haha although Brutes can be a pain in the behind, as you HAVE to have your fists out (so you can disarm them), and so you can't really kill any other guards properly until you disarm the Brute. I do like the big weapon once i get it though :) There's also an Xbox achievement for killing 4 people with one swing, which i've still to get.

And yeh, completing the game unlocks the majority of points/trophies. I've completed the game, and done about 2 of the non-story related achievements, and i'm up to 700. Ones i can remember i have to do are spending lots of money on women, dying my armour ebony and ivory, killing 4 guards with a swing, assasinating a poisoned guard.

One i don't know how to do is throwing sand in a guard's face, and then killing them. I've never been told about throwing sand :S

That man just wants to take over Fox I swear. Will be worth a watch once he gets round to it in a year or so, I just hope it doesn't detract from the supposed FG film we were supposed to be getting.

I lost interest in Futurama a while ago although it is on 'my list' of DVD series I will pick up at some point.

Seth MacFarlane is working on a fourth show now. I think the main character is going to be female. The woman who plays Lois. New Futurama this summer.
