Are you sure that's the 'real' price and not an introductory offer?

If it is then your exchange must be LLU'd (unbundled) where other companies have installed their kit. I don't think any normal ADSL (using BT IPStream) is anywhere near that.

Even then that is bound to be a real 'economy' type allowance - 2gb or something silly per month!

The problem is that no other ISP I know of will give me the same service.

I can get broadband for £6-£7 a month but I know it's going to be choppy and have some indian call centre answer the phone whenever I get an issue.

Morning all.

Internet at work going down all the time at the moment.

Looked at finances and have to cut back further on monthly spending too. Problem is that this may mean internet as well. I can get a lower Freeola monthly cost but I'd probably be going over the limit anyway. Hopefully can sort it out without the drastic measure of stopping internet for a while or (even worse) having to temporarily move to another ISP.

Heh..."a few times I've been 'round that track...".

Last night was horrible. Went into the kitchen, drew the blinds as the light was on (stepdad went nuts the other week for someone leaving the lounge curtains open with the light on) - despite him being the one who neglected the blinds... As I did so, a large bottle of wine came down and smacked down on my arm, forcing it onto the cacti on the windowsil. A few moments later after some shouting, everybody comes out to see the fuss.

I was trying to explain the situation, but as you can imagine, I was in some pain and used the term "smashed" instead of "crashed". Stepdad goes "where's the broken glass then, where is the wine?" getting quite picky and pedantic...well that ruined the evening totally - although I apologiesd for shouting whilst in the immediate minutes after the event, I didn't mean to shout. He's ignored me since. Ah well...

Gr13ve,that sucks mate.I had money taken from my account a couple of years ago.It was about £550 and was used to buy PC parts from eBuyer.I had a hell of a job getting it back, even though the items were not ordered in my name or sent to my address (to which I asked Halifax why the hell they authorised it ?).I had to sign paperwork giving Halifax authorisation to prosecute me if at any point in the future they could prove I had anything to do with it.I signed it as I had nothing to hide and only then did they refund my money. The whole process took about 2 months though, hope you don't have to go through the same pantomime as I did it.

360 been fixed, will hopefully have to time to pick it up later.Had the cooling mods done as well.It probably sounds even more like a hovercraft now but hopefully wont die on me again.

You never think you know all the words to "Hollaback Girl" till you're joyriding around a rival campus, hanging out the window, heavy bass and screaming it at the top of your lungs.

Well hopefully I noticed it in time, they started spending yesterday - only £2 on itunes, probably just testing the card. Then today from 11.25am they made the 3 large purchases and I checked my account at 2.30. The bank said that hopefully by them cancelling my card when I was in that the payments would be stopped before processing fully, not quite sure how it works. There's a chance I'll have my account credited tomorrow but it could be as long as 2 weeks if I need to go through the refund process.

Bit disappointed that the bank didn't alert me to it seeing as the most I usually spend doesn't go over the £150 mark. They suggested I should take out one of their credit cards if Im going to be shopping online - no thanks!!

Seconded. I've had it happen to me and it's not nice. Luckily my bank spotted it before I did and called me about it, noticing my spending was out of the ordinary.
