Boris Johnson on Brexit:
"There's absolutely no danger of this driving the country to another recession"

Boris Johnson on Brexit two days before the vote:
"If this causes a recession, I'll publicly apologise."

I always had the feeling we shouldn't have been allowed to make this vote. There are too many with some narrow minded view points. Reading the comments from someone I went to school with confirmed my view. Firstly he can't believe the whole of Scotland didn't want to leave like he did. And then he follows up with "nobody knew what would happen". So here we have someone happy to vote for leave having no idea of what would happen. Perhaps there should have been some sort of IQ test before you were allowed to vote.

We'll get through it pete ... just tighten your belt, in preparation for Armageddon ;¬)

Digging a big hole in your back garden now and covering it with a 'solid' roof, installing sleeping quarters and kitchen facilities ... and a bathroom with a sanitation area ... might be a sensible summer project this year:¬)

(The patio can wait)

EDIT: As for friends and work colleagues pb ... I agree

Also very disheartening seeing all the racist idiots coming out of the woodwork.

Many of my friends are from EU countries, about 79% of my work colleagues are from the EU or elsewhere, too. You can imagine how they feel now.

I'm glad I don't appear to be the only one unconvinced this exit thing might not be such a great idea... Early indications appear to have been nothing short of horrific... :/

I'm not normally a political person but right now I'll admit to being genuinely concerned...

2nd Referendum

Certainly interesting times.

We are never far from talk of independence referendum round 2 up here and this has only fuelled those fires. A very different vote this time if we get that far again.[/i]

Gilts have fallen 1% for the first time in their history ... start stockpiling peeps ... tinned food etc etc, learn the 'old ways' ... make do and mend, start to lick the front step in the morning, use buckets to catch rainwater ...

I mentioned it in terms of Star Wars. I thought it best to steer clear of some of the more antagonistic comments.
