Mrs DL is up in arms, she's ready to cause mayhem ...
apparently Pinterest has changed today!!!???
What this has got to do with me, only the great being in the sky knows, but I suspect that those nasty people who created Pinterest have decided to revamp their web code.
Try telling this to Mrs DL ... when she doesn't like it!!!???
(I suspect that it's being an only child that causes this type of reaction) ;¬)
Why do you do it? Are you both as insane as me?
It's kind of like wrapping a pork chop in strawberry ice cream and sprinkling it with Skittles. Should work, 'cos I like all 3, but together...?
Awful as it sounds, it'd still be an entertaining meal... sort of...
Watched one of the worst films ever last night; "Lake Placid Vs Anaconda"...
That was roughly my thoughts too after subjecting myself to it recently.
Yes, that's right, a "crossover" film that jams together giant man-eating crocs and giant man-eating snakes. It was so bad it was good... kind of...
The acting was terrible, the story was lame, the special effects weren't special at all. Nothing made sense.
I haven't laughed quite so much for a long time.
it seems I can now add a hedgehog to the list of animal visitors we get here.
I currently have a trap in the garden in an attempt to get my stray visitor to the vets via Cats Protection. The only trouble is that they don't have space to take him in if he doesn't have a home so he will be given back to me afterwards.
Now to make sure I don't trap my own cats or any of the other furry visitors I get.
I can hear the Owls hooting as I make the tea (or lemsip, as is the case today). It's much more reassuring than thinking about our new Prime Minister, Emperor May.
Mind you, perhaps the Owls are not what they seem...
"The Petitions Committee has decided to schedule a House of Commons debate on this petition. The debate will take place on 5 September at 4.30pm in Westminster Hall, the second debating chamber of the House of Commons. The debate will be opened by Ian Blackford MP.
The Committee has decided that the huge number of people signing this petition means that it should be debated by MPs. The Petitions Committee would like to make clear that, in scheduling this debate, they are not supporting the call for a second referendum. The debate will allow MPs to put forward a range of views on behalf of their constituents. At the end of the debate, a Government Minister will respond to the points raised.
A debate in Westminster Hall does not have the power to change the law, and won’t end with the House of Commons deciding whether or not to have a second referendum. Moreover, the petition – which was opened on 25 May, well before the referendum – calls for the referendum rules to be changed. It is now too late for the rules to be changed retrospectively. It will be up to the Government to decide whether it wants to start the process of agreeing a new law for a second referendum.
The Petitions Committee is a cross-party group of MPs. It is independent from Government.
Power of (some) people ;¬)
In other news, weather forecast dry ... has been a steady drizzle all day! Currently doing holiday cover at work ... good to get some extra money, but great that I can dictate my hours :¬)
