Blue skies and sun here today so off for a walk along the beach in a minute
I've decided that buying the Wii was a terrible idea. On Saturday the 3 of us all play a game of bowling on Wii sports. My 4 year old daughter beat me. My wife, having her first shot, beat me but not only that, she beat my highest score.
And then this morning I have a quick shot of Samba de Amigo with the little one. She beats my score by 13,000.
The console needs to go!
Working from home because someone decided that it would be a good idea to set up a meeting for 5pm, which means I'd be really late home today. However, kids still off school so I'll see if it was a good idea or not later.
Back to work for my last Monday as an ophthalmic photographer. Going to be sad saying goodbye to my regulars. I know I will be likely to work in the hospital again as a different role (possibly within the same clinic) but it's very doubtful that in 4-5 years time I'll be seeing the same patients...especially the ones in their late 90's. :'( Still, hopefully secured some work here over the holidays, so never say never.
On a brighter note, my cold seems to have cleared up a bit, although another day relaxing in bed playing Alan Wake wouldn't have gone a miss! Usually struggle with the survival horror idea, especially when it's 3rd person, but somehow this game works extremely well. Very deep storyline as well as superb graphics. Nearing the end of it now, so expect a review when I am done. Also plan to draft my Split/Second review today!
How is everyone else today? Is it sunny where you are? We have a lovely blue sky here in Brizzle!
Not doing much today really apart from lazing around and watching the Forest match on Sky, no doubt with a few beers!
Just finished a week off work thanks to some holiday I needed to use up. Did pretty much nothing the entire week, which was good, until yesterday when I stepped it up a notch.
As it was the kick-off to a new season, I obviously travelled down to White Hart Lane to cheer on the Spurs, didn't see any goals but being in the ground again with a rocking atmosphere enforced to me why I love going football. Then in the evening, I went to see The Expendables. The film was everything one would expect it to me and something I would recommend any red-blooded male to go and see.
Parents get back Friday morning, and then I'm free to get on with my summer holiday work...
