When I said sweet for Strongbow, I meant that it was sweeter than the original Blackthorn, which was too dry for the London market (or so I have been told).
Still, it's back to the way it should be.
All this talk of cider is actually making me thirsty!

Strongbow is a dry cider although nothing like Blackthorn.
Blackthorn didn't change did they? It tasted the same the last time I tried it. They released a sweet version to go along side the dry one which was amusing as people that came into my off license would call it Dry Blackthorn Sweet. This was about 15 years ago though, never seen it since.
There was an outrage when Blackthorn changed from being a dry cider to a sweet cider, as so it could compete with Strongbow in the rest of the country. However, I believe sales dipped as nobody that used to drink it bought any of the new recipe and only have they recently changed it back (I celebrated with a pint of it!).
To be fair, I tend to drink what ever I fancy when I go out. Tend to stay away from alcopops as I think of them as a younger drink (and the fact they are designed to induce drunkenness - whereas a beer/cider, although perhaps stronger, can be enjoyed as a slow drink as the occasional pint). Perhaps the bright colours also put me off them :p But for me it's either lager, bitter or cider.
In terms of the kids and cider, from my years working in an off-license I found the kids drank the cheap nasty white cider (not that we served kids), not the real cider.
A bit quiet today around the house, so thought I'd get around to writing up an Alan Wake review. Will be heading back to playing Hawx and Crackdown 2 shortly.
When tomorrow arrives, I have a busy day! First need to go to the Insurance Ombudsman as Aviva still haven't provided any documentation on my car insurance and it's 2 and half months now. What took the biscuit is on my 20th working day after writing a complaint (willing to drop it provided they send me proof I am insured), they send a letter saying "it's taking longer to find a solution to your problem, please can you allow us another 15 days." If they can produce that letter, why can't they just press print on my documents and send me them? Plus they missold the contract as 12 months, when I am getting 9 months. So lets hope the ombudsmen can get through to them.
Then it's sorting out uni finance. Fun fun fun! Oh and shopping for supplies!

Do you think you will be able to claim reward points on them? May be interested now that I rarely buy games now!
Sunny, so taking the kids to the park.
GAME are going to be selling iTunes vouchers from this week, they got them in stock but waiting for the sku to go on the system.

If I did that I'd never have a reason to leave the house again. Which reminds me, I've got to fill in the Tesco clubcard thing they gave me last week.
I'm off out anyway, have a good day.
