If your planning on getting a PS3 Chris I would wait to see if their controversial serial code system materialises. If it does then I reckon they'll be quite a few cheap second hand consoles about.I've spoken to a couple of my mates who both said they will sell their consoles if it happens. If it goes ahead then it will basically make games very hard to sell on/trade in and impossible to rent as discussed over on the thread in the games section.

If you do fancy reinstating your Xbox Live account apparently they are currently offering a 12 months subscription,500 M$ points and an Xbox Live arcade game called Aqua something or other for £23.99.Apparently it's only available to Silver (free) account holders which I believe you now are.£1 a month, even a poor student should be able to afford that!.If you do it just remember to ring them up a month before it expires to get automatic renewal turned off, they are notorious for doing that as I'm sure you are now more than aware.[/i]

Thanks pete :) Sadly, I'm packing up the Xbox to a degree. Definitely considering a PS3 (which would result in selling the Xbox along with all the games - might be a bit of a pain in the behind though). That's just an option. More than likely, I'll just stick to singleplayer. I don't enjoy multiplayer at all.

I expect the conspiricy theorists are already working out ways to 'prove' how Microsoft paid Activision to muck up the other versions.

Well if that was the case perhaps Activision would release the map packs exclusively on Xbox 360 only 'allowing' gamers with the other formats access to them at a later date.........................

Reality: probably worked on 360 first and just did a lazy port to other formats.

Believe it was actually developed on PC then ported to console, read it somewhere but can't recall where.Anyway,In my view there isn't really an excuse for Treyarch putting out sloppy half baked versions on PC & PS3 when the 360 version has none of the issues being complained about.

DL,will keep an eye on that situation could be interesting! :)

Morning pete,

Just found this 'little gem' in the March issue of PC Gamer (don't know how recent it is though)....but it is reported that Gamers' Voice, the gaming consumer group, are suing Activision over the state CoD BOps was released in!

QUOTE:

"It is clear that Call of Duty: Black Ops for the PS3 and PC is not 'as described'; of a satisfactory quality or fit for purpose, ie, to entertain."

Could be well worth following this 'latest' chapter of discontent :¬)

Something with thought, but that sounds so cliche! I love reading books, so for me a book would be a good present. The only problem being that there's so many genres. the same for any present. There's so many items/options to chose from! Unless you get a book voucher...GAH!!! Surely there must be other females on here? Sorry for such a bad answer! =)

A very acceptable answer....one that I would be happy with. If you love reading then the correct choice would be a 'book voucher'....you're happy and I'm happy that you're happy :¬)

Gah, hate it when the solution is the simplest thing in the world... Got 2 accounts, a savings account and the account I pay money out of. Despite the fact that it appeared that I had enough money to cover the transaction, when I clicked on the 'payout' account, my available funds were less than it appeared, so I hadn't transferred enough. Doi!

Well, for example...what would you consider to be a 'good present'? :¬)
