In saying that, from a technical point of view, most modern tracks contain a phrase of music or two that last a few seconds, which is then tampered with and changed slightly several times throughout the song. Loop it, add a beat and some sampling, and hey presto, you have a club anthem.
I'm looking at you Britney, Tinie Tempah, Pitbull, Snoop Dogg etc
Completely agree Chris. I'm from that older generation, but I enjoy music from every generation. Of course, you have the classics, but then a song has to be around for a while to become a classic, so who knows if something played today will be considered classic in ten or twenty years time?
It's the same with the dismissal of all Pop music just because someone doesn't like manufactured bands or singers (plenty of bands in the 60's and 70's were put together by managers) and tars all Pop with the same brush.
Don't care what anybody says, good music is still made in modern times. I respect the old school bands and artists, but it can be annoying when the older generation start complaining about modern music. At the end of the day, music isn't about your age or when it's made. It's about the actual song itself.
I'd feel silly and irritating bringing it up again :(
How come?
You can 'feel silly' and you can 'be irritating'....but how can you be both? Irritating to whom? :¬)

I'd just asked SC that and suggested a 'theme'
