no, i new that, i wanna no her real name not just dawn or don summers, but her real name like buffy's is sarah michelle geller

Dawn is Buffy's sister. she originally was a key(in the form of energy) that opened up a deminsional gate way to other worlds (see season 5). The key was made in to the form of a girl and was sent to Buffy as hrer sister. This was not know to Buffy as everyone's memory had been changed to include Dawn in their past. Dawn is now treated as her sister and belongs to the Summers' family.
