Right, hopefully this will get more of a response than my Excel help topic. Basically I am making a webpage and it is part of a project that the spreadsheet is also required for.

However here is my problem:

http://www.geocities.com/mjswerve/workinprogress.html

Ignore Geo*****, just a temp host as its not actually going to be put online unless I get bored. The problem I have is quite obvious. Firstly I have a problem with a small white border going around the top right corner, its not there when I view it offline so Im guessing I have messed up with some file names when I uploaded it. THe second problem is the reason I've uploaded it and it is the large white border going all the way around the site design.

I designed the site in Photoshop (I did not include that damn white border) and then I sliced it in imageready. Unfortunately once it was sliced and then saved as HTML this border has been added. My HTML is very weak (knew I shouldnt of stopped using it) and I dont have a clue why this has happened. I'd appreciate any help as its already overdue by 4 days as is my Excel problem http://ukchatforums.reserve.co.uk/ display_messages.php?threadid=73658&forumid=206 *cough* *cough* *nudge* *nudge* :)

Mmmm, just wondering but is there a code i can enter somewhere to disable horizontal scrolling? I remember it was used in frames so I guess it can work on sites? I realise that the site wont be directly in the centre if I do this but it will make me much more happy.

Fair enough :)

Still, if it bugs you later, set the border to 1, and you'll usually see which cells are causing the problem :)

Basically all of my graphics move around and overlap/disappear :( What Ive decided to do is to leave it as I have it now, which is only with the bottom border. THis is down to my coursework being judged on what its like printed anyway so its really a trivial thing. Thanks for the help though people.

I see you have the div layer height as 504px ... maybe this is to big???

What happens when you remove the last row of the table??

You really dont want to see what happens when I do :x I'm guessing certain spacers are needed to keep the layout in shape as it goes to pot when its removes.

Basically I have a row in my table that is full of spacers that imageready or dreamweaver has inserted into it. If I removed the row and put it at the bottom of the table the top border disappeared but the bottom one remained. If you check the site out then you'll see what i've done so far.

Well I've spoken to someone else and what they told me has enabled me to remove the top white section but not the bottom one. Basically I really dont know why I am bothering as it will probably not even be looked at online :|

Very very? Been learning it today. Took a lot of stuff in about CSS, the whole positioning of tables and stuff. It's actually really interesting! Much more better than HTML..
