I've been looking int ocomputers and looking up motherboards, graphics cards.. and all i find on boards is... ATI rules, nvidia rules, and moaning about their own built computers not working okay its bound to happen... but also all they can talk about after making their machines finally work is overclocking, i dont care about it at all i should ignore it but why is the majority who started off with puny computers all of a sudden not happy with what they originally have.
I am not against people overclocking but all i want is to read about people's opinion of components and not how they overclock!

For things like that they're OK but I generally don't trust them. Despite what they say they ARE amateurs.

I like the huge comparison things tomshardware do, their 65 CPU ranking was strangly entertaining.

Forums are bad for stuff like that. Fanboys are everywhere.

Try some proper hardware review sites like Tomshardware.com and others that I'd list if I could only think of any.

Indeed. My opinion on making bits and pieces go faster is that I didn't notice the difference when I upgraded to this computer from my old PC, so I'm certainly not going to notice the difference a slightly faster RAM stick or FSB frequency will make. I have far more of a problem with components that are not stable, than with components that are not quite fast enough.
