I've been looking int ocomputers and looking up motherboards, graphics cards.. and all i find on boards is... ATI rules, nvidia rules, and moaning about their own built computers not working okay its bound to happen... but also all they can talk about after making their machines finally work is overclocking, i dont care about it at all i should ignore it but why is the majority who started off with puny computers all of a sudden not happy with what they originally have.
I am not against people overclocking but all i want is to read about people's opinion of components and not how they overclock!

I've said before, the 8RDA+ isn't up against the NF7, it's the 8RGA+ that is the real boxer.

I bought an ABIT KG7-RAID because I'd heard that ABIT were the don. Some of you may remember me bleating about it around January time, it was basically the most unstable piece of **** I'd ever used, it had an unsolvable conflict between the AMD Northbridge and the VIA Southbridge (WTG whoever thought of matching those two together), so I ended up replacing it with a dual RAID EpoX 8K5A3+, which is an absolutely beautiful KT333 board, especially once they released the RAID5 BIOS upgrade :D Unfortunately my board had a problem, insofar as any 3D graphics had a stutter that would not go away (no doubt the reason the sneaky sod on Ebay was selling it). This board now sits in a box on top of my wardrobe, forever waiting for EpoX tech support to reply to their emails :O(

So I ended up replacing that with an ABIT NF7-S, which has been 100% stable (although I don't overclock it) and actually works \o/ I have nothing bad to say about this board, I would recommend it over the 8RDA+ for the active Northbridge cooling and the serial ATA controller, which will be ace as soon as they release some hard disks for it!

I can heartily recommend both ABIT and EpoX, I was extremely impressed with the attention to detail on the EpoX (POST signal LED = the winnar), but my weapon of choice at the moment happens to be an ABIT.

Well i'm buying on stablity and as far as i know this mobo is not jetway or has only 2 PCI slots..
It's dropped to about £1011 now overall as i decided to not have a floppy disk drive since i have a CD-RW.

Well... onboard NIC i dont mind if it means not churning out a piece of performance i personally prefer a Audigy 2 then onboard sound.

*Casts his vote for EPoX*

I have an Abit board too, and I hate it, had so many problems that I just replaced it...voila, problems fixed. My EPoX on the other hand just rules, heh, the range of options and features is the best I've found, and had no stability problems at all, even running with an almost 50% overclock.
