It is. Fantastic beaches, towering cliffs, jungle, huge rocks rising out of the water (hundereds of feet high) and lots of little sand banks off these forested pillars, with bars on them. Oh yes. Its utterly fantastic. :D
I really cannot wait to get out into paradise.

Bangkok is itneresting, but not really very nice.
Sort of worth a day around. Maybe.

As it happens we are planning an excursion into Cambodia to rescue our mate Charlie who was captured in the Vietnam war. As American troops were never officially in Cambodia no one has gone in to save him yet. According to the latest intelligence reports, he's forced to sleep with attractive local girls and feast on wild boar. This is forbidden according to the Geneva convention (of Star Trek fans). We want to end this torment and bring him out of there.

He was sketchy on the details, but I believe it involved a bar fight, two men and a one legged goat.
Or steal a Sampan and have races, pretending to be in Vietnam.

Could be Krabi, feudian slip. The coast in the region is awesome from what my mates tell me. I really cannot wait to get out into paradise. Though our first night in Bangkok might not be quite the nirvana that the rest of Thailand offers.
I miss you already. And you're still here.

If thats where I think it is (might be Krabi, not sure) you are very very lucky.
The Thai coast along there is incredible.
Worth the flight easy.
