Once Nintendo and Microsoft reveal their future consoles, everyone becomes so hyped up about them or sometimes they just think it's a rip-off. The Future of Gaming has had nothing big like when the whole gaming scene came together. We are just having one big console war between 5 companies trying to make people reach into their pockets to purchase their consoles and make money.

We need a little technology push from somewhere a Mario 64 everywhere to make the first 4D platformer or to make the best puzzle game ever since Tetris.
All we have is a better technology that makes better graphics, there's no quality that the old titles every had.
Zelda Ocarina of Time was one of the many one perfect games that showed off the power of the N64, Metal Gear showed a whole new way of shoot em' up.

What gaming needs is more than console wars or graphical visabilty, we need all of them to make the proper future of gaming.

New genres? You can't mix too many up and repeat them each time, for instance Tomb Raider.

There are new game types comming out all the time... some like Doom/Dune2 get picked up and become a major genre, others may sell well as their own game, but are otherwise forgotten...

There will be new game type to come along and make use of the new consoles, however, since were still waiting for the GC and X-Box to be released, I tihnk were jumping the gu for lamenting the loss of originality in the gameing world just yet...

All I was saying was that people would complain if they thought their new console was missing a type of game on another popular console. The PS2 could do with quite a few more games of these sorts (and will no doubt get them over time)

But yeah, I agree that it would be nice to have a fighting game that was more involving.

Sorry about the mysterious R in the name of the game. Final Fight was pretty good, but Fighting force was the worse conversion of it.

I loved FinalFight, I have FinalFight2 on the SNES a great 2 player game...I love the way Haggar just PileDrivered everyone into the ground, superb..I think a 3D update should be on the cards, that would be great. I loved the multiplayer fighters, theres just something cool about fighting with as oppossed to against friends...

Perhaps they could bring DoubleDragon back, fight side by side till the end of the game, only youve been double crossed by your partner and so you must now fight him to the death!

Actually it could be pretty interesting to see a new version of Final Fight if capcom sat down and made it :-)
Maybe with 3D instead of 2D - or even if it were still 2D for that matter :-)

Final Right remember that! Better than it's clone Fighting force. Then there is X-men Mutant academy which is just another one of those clones.
