The answer: Nope.
But equally I can image that the universe had no beginning, that it has always existed because that would time infinite, and if time is infinate then how did we get to this finite point in time.
Like you say, I don't think we will ever be able to comprehend it. But then again I may be arrogant to think that there will never be a being who can comprehand these things that I can't.
I take nothing for granted, the universe is still a mystery and even if we were able to unravel it's secrets we probably couldn't comprehend them. Let's say we could prove that the universe came from nothingness. I can't conceptualise that notion, can anyone?
Anyway, I find it ludicrous that any religion can criticise another, when they are all clearly flawed. If there is a God, I doubt that it wants human religions mucking up the planet.
But each to their own, each to their own.
