This was probably not the best time to realise this fact.

Now I have to find some time to go shopping, and start the desperate search for something that he would want. Irritating man that he is, he continues to buy anything he wants right up to a week before his birthday, so there never seems to be anything to buy him. In a way he's worse than me, at least I can come up with a list of things I wouldn't mind having, he just sits there and says "I don't really think I want anything".

If he did want anything, my sister's probably bought it; in fact, she probably bought it several months ago in advance preperation.

Crap.

Mine doesn't. Normally just wears a poloneck or something.

I bought him a Moody Blues live Twin-CD thing. He might actually like it seeing as he has lots of their stuff.

Then I bought myself 3 CDs because I felt like it, including one that I just liked the cover of.

My dad's birthday is 2 days after mine. Which sucks. And I don't know how to put a pin code in on my phone. Which also sucks.

Well, my dad turned 70 last month.
I got him a book. David Attenborough's Autobiography.

failing that, a shirt is usually a pretty safe bet, seeing as he wears one every day.

My dad was born 6 days before me.

Plus about 40 odd years.

The only reason I know my Dad's birthday is because it's the pin code for his phone.

What a loving son I am... :-D
