"American Shoot Down British Jet"

Reports of a British jet (unconfirmed which kind it is) being shot down by Americans over Umm Qasr are flooding in.

The British General isn't at liberty to confirm how many were on board the plane at this time.

But all I can say is - they seem to do it all the time, don't they.

Our thoughts go out to the family's of the men killed.


They believe the reason it was shot down is because the night before, there were unconfirmed alerts of unmanned Iraqi planes in the vicinity.
Of course, they were most likely to have chemical/biological weapons on board, so they took no risks.

What a shame.

I was watching Fox News earlier.

There was a guy on it, and they were talking about a squad of American troops being lead into Umm Qasr by a British Commander.

What he said was, "The British are too slow during warfare. We should be in there on our own."

So essentially, he believes the Americans should be attempting to take out Saddam Hussein on their own.

He said more, but I can't properly remember them, and I don't want to be accused of mis-quotation.

But, basically he believed the Americans should be there on there own, and he really was quite offensive and arrogant about it.

If they had been doing this on their own, it's most likely we'd be in a World War by now.....

Now that's getting bad. It's sad to hear too that Americans shot it down..

Oh for christ's sake. Get our men out of there before the yanks kill any more of them.
