This is a tragedy.

I thought this war was about bringing freedom to the country, not taking it over..
It must have had a problem while it was quite high up in the air.
And this is the second helicopter to crash in as many days!

Iraq have more military personnel in the Gulf right now than the US and allies combined, it's just ours have better equipment and training.

I suppose NASA losing a Space Shuttle was American incompetence as well, or is it just that space travel is acceptably difficult in "the world according to IB"? A helicopter is basically one big moving part, and with desert sand getting everywhere you're guaranteed to get failures. Some of them are going to be on British tanks, some of them are going to be on US Helicopters. The point is that whatever happened, operating a helicopter fleet in the desert is extremely difficult, something you don't seem to appreciate.
And I'd love to see you go up to a US Army base and tell them they lost 12 men due to incompetence or inexperience, heh. Get off your pedestal.

It's probably due to the whole "flying along at a hundred miles an hour plus while only 10m above the ground in the dark" thing. Not the most sensible thing to do at the best of times, but still an incredibly effective way of moving small groups of soldiers.
Putting blame on a group, race or country for no more reason than a figure of hatred for you to unleash your emotion on is cowardly. One man, one simple man who has lived a live just like you and I made perhaps a single mistake, and even then you cannot put the blame on him.
It happens all the bloody time... find a figure of hatred because you don't have the strength to keep living on your own. Find something that you can blame all that hurt and anger on, instead of battering it down yourself and moving on. Yeah, I've fallen into that in the past too, but you've got to realise all the emotion that's inside you, all that anger and hurt, sure, feel those emotions all you like. But realise that to let them get to you makes you absolutely insignificant. And perhaps I'm a hypocrite, but I refuse to let anyone force me to believe that you can blame the ways of a country for a simple bloody accident.
Yes, they've been there before, yes they've had training and they know what to expect. Knowing what to expect doesn't mean you cannot falter. A few men have died, more men are going to die. These men died accidently, others are going to be murdered, we keep living. Be grateful for the air you take.
